Deutsche Bank executive Glenn Morgan says that following an analysis of reporting season,we are not sure what to worry about. Deutsche says the Australian market has just come through the best reporting season in some years, with 58% of companies reporting better-than-expected results. Analysts have now upgraded the forecasts for 47% companies. Deutsche notes the December half saw the best corporate earnings growth in three years, helping to justify the recent equity market gains. Corporate earnings margins have been impressive, reflecting some serious cost cutting in a wide range of major companies, from industrials to resources. Underlying the bullish analysis from Deutsche are views that the outlook for China is still good, the dollar will likely hit US75c by the end of next year and that listed companies currently hold $71 billion in cash on hand -18%higher than a year ago.
