Advanced, High Grade Lithium

Lithium Power International’s (ASX: LPI) focus is on their Maricunga Lithium Project in the Atacama III Region of northern Chile, and is well placed to take advantage of forecast strong lithium markets. Maricunga is a lithium brine play, with work to date showing one of the highest grade brine resources globally. Pump and evaporation tests have been very positive, with flow rates being amongst the highest in their peer group, and evaporation testwork, in addition to thus far showing positive results for lithium concentration, has shown the potential to produce potassium salts as a by-product. Maricunga is also close to transport and power infrastructure. The Company is currently working towards completion of a final feasibility study in late 2017, with this including a resource upgrade due in the second quarter. This upgrade will be estimated over a larger area and to a deeper level than the original 2012 NI43-101 estimate, which had Measured Resources of 574,000t LCE.
