Good Morning, Trust that you had a nice weekend, spent some quality time with the family and kept warm… It has certainly been very chilly down here in the South of Oz… So global markets have certainly lost momentum last week, predominantly driven by a weakness in Chinese PMI, weaker commodity prices and a lack of global growth … Did you know that for the first time in over a decade, hedge funds have more short positions vs. long positions in Gold… The precious metal is certainly losing its “Shine” and as we have been advising the past few weeks, we expect further downside in this space… This week, a number of companies will report their earnings, the outlook statements will be key.... We sent a number of reporting season calendars on Friday afternoon, so for those who want to know who will report, please refer to Friday’s email…if you haven't got it, please be in touch. The SPI is pointing to a 49 point fall this morning
