Private equity to make a meal of Patties
On Monday Four ‘N Twenty pie maker Patties Foods (ASX: PFL) announced it had received a $1.65 a share offer from private equity company Pacific Equity Partners. Patties Chairman Mark Smith said the company recommended its shareholders accept the takeover bid as the scheme “represents attractive value for shareholders”. Shares in Patties closed up 26% for the week following the announcement. We do not own Patties in the investment portfolio.
