US economy gaining jobs, but not good jobs. While the US economy has been steadily adding jobs, the vast majority are low-paying, part-time jobs. Even though the country added 200,000 jobs in June, the number of full-time jobs in the country actually decreased. Only 47% of American adults have a full-time job and 53% of American workers make less than $30,000 a year. Companies prefer to offer temp positions because they are less expensive and more flexible. The number of part-time jobs in America hit a record high as part-time jobs replace the full-time positions lost during the recession. (VIEW LINK)
