Activist shareholders tighten the screws on Coventry Group. Sandon Capital and private family investment group, Dorsett Investments, are leading moves to rebuke the Coventry Board at its AGM on Friday 7 November 2014. In any company, the Board bears responsibility for the current strategy, its implementation and capital allocation. After the strategy is set, the CEO must execute it. All of these have led to disappointing financial outcomes at Coventry. As a result, Coventry is plumbing its 52-week low and has erased all gains since February 2012. Sandon Capital believes the time has come to put an end to Coventry's current unsustainable path. We believe this can only come through fresh leadership and renewed corporate vision. The changes proposed by the Board do not go far enough. Sandon Capital has released a presentation highlighting how Coventry has deteriorated and why it is in need of significant change, starting with the Board.
