Book Review: Peter Harper says that most people know more about investing than they probably think. So when writing his book The Little Green Book he uses the analogy of gardening to remove the barriers many people encounter when talking about finance. Peter describes himself as a value or GARP (growth at a reasonable price) investor a trade that he has refined over years in the banking and funds management industries. A copy of the book was sent to Warren Buffett - not as a marketing stunt but out of courtesy as Buffett is mentioned in the book. Harper says he was shocked to receive a hand written note from Warren Buffet himself. He commented that the book should be read by all investors, particularly page 17.
