Compelling value in an overlooked sector

Elanor Investors Group is a real estate investment firm that invests across multiple asset classes, including commercial, office, retail, hotels and leisure and healthcare. The firm, which is listed on the ASX, has over $2 billion of funds under management.

Matt Healy, Head of Retail, Development & Mixed Use at Elanor, says that retail is one sector the firm believes presents a compelling value proposition in the current market.

“There is most definitely a dislocation in pricing for well-located essential needs and non-discretionary focused retail assets.”

Healy explains that the spreads on sub-regional assets are at decade highs due to perceived risks around the move towards online retail and continued lockdowns.
