Market Themes in 2014 Investment Opportunities and Threats - this was from the Livewire launch but definitely worth revisiting. One of the dominant themes was that markets were looking bullish in the short term but the medium term was less rosy - this is looking to be a fair assessment. Markets have had an easing in the past few weeks as taper talk hoses down expectations of further rallies. Fund managers such as Geoff Wilson and Steve Johnson have been keeping a significant allocation in cash waiting for better value opportunities to arise. With many anticipating the traditional Christmas rally to kick off any day soon I expect some fund managers will be using this strength as a selling opportunity. Domestic earnings in Feb remain a threat along with the US taper - could these be catalysts for a sustained pull back? (VIEW LINK)
