Market Update: Despite a strong rebound in the US equity markets overnight the Australian share market struggled to get any direction as regional holidays kept activity quiet. The major banks were mixed with ANZ flat while the other three were falling between 0.2% to 0.5%. The AUD is trading lower at US$0.8760. The SPI was down 0.2% at 5,130 points on the Sydney Futures Exchange.
