Market Update: The S&P/ASX200 was flat at 5,189 points in light volume even though US and European equity markets retreated last Friday night. Resource companies were again weak due to falls in commodity prices last Friday night. BHP fell 0.4% while RIO slipped 0.3%. The major banks were mixed with ANZ and NAB down 0.9% and 0.1% respectively, CBA was flat and WBC was up 0.2%. The AUD is trading flat at US 0.8752. The SPI was down 0.1% at 5,138 points on the Sydney Futures Exchange.
