Market Update: The S&P/ASX200 was flat at 5,383 points as the US markets were closed for Presidents Day holiday last night. Stocks were mixed. BHP advanced 1.9% as it reported a USD 7.7bn half year profit, beating expectations. RIO climbed 1.6%. CBA and NAB were 0.1% and 0.7% higher respectively while ANZ and WBC were down 0.2% and 0.3% respectively. The AUD was firmer after RBA minutes as there was no talk-down of the dollar. It is currently trading at USD 0.9055. The SPI was up 0.1% at 5,348 points on the Sydney Futures Exchange.
