Overnight Report: US stocks rebound from their session lows, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average breaking into positive territory. Treasury prices fell in choppy trade after data showed tepid gains in private sector payrolls and service sector companies. Gold futures settled higher, oil futures pared some of their earlier gains. The dollar pared its intraday loss against the yen after a reading on the US service sector showed a slightly faster pace of expansion in January. European stock markets posted the first winning session in four. UK stocks inched higher to break a five-day losing streak, after data showed the services sector remained on a strong growth path at the start of 2014. London: BHP -1.27% Rio +1.03%. New York: BHP +1.4% Rio +2.38%. Base metal prices extended a modest technical bounce, although the general direction remains to the downside.
