Overnight Update: The US stock market pushed higher after an early wobble on Thursday after Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen, testifying before the Senate Banking Committee, reaffirmed the central bank's accommodative policy. Treasury prices climbed, on track for their third consecutive day of gains. The US dollar rose against the Russian ruble, trading at its highest level in five years, as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continued to escalate. Gold futures finished higher. Oil futures closed slightly lower. Earnings reports weighed on some of the FTSE 100's biggest companies leading the benchmark index to a third straight day of losses. European stocks broadly lost ground amid increased political tension in Ukraine and as falling German inflation highlighted concerns about the risk of deflation in the euro zone.
