Overnight Update: The US stock market struggled to maintain earlier gains Wednesday following the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500's largest four consecutive day rise in more than a year. Treasury prices fell ahead of an auction of 10 year Treasury notes, pushing yields higher as the market braces for coming supply. The dollar fell against British pound after the BOE raised its projections for 2014 UK growth. Gold futures continued to find support but struggled to reach key $1,300 an ounce level. Oil futures reclaimed the $100 a barrel level, after Chinese data showed record oil imports for January. UK stocks moved cautiously higher. European stock markets rose for a sixth straight day, boosted by solid Chinese export data and well received corporate results. London: BHP up 0.73% Rio up 1.45%. New York: BHP up 0.60% Rio up 1.20%. Base metal prices traded higher across the complex.
