Overnight Update: The US stock market traded in a choppy but narrow range on Wednesday, as investors reacted mildly to a slew of disappointing and inconclusive economic reports. Treasury prices swung mostly higher after a gauge of service-sector companies came in weaker than expected. Gold futures closed with a modest gain. Oil futures touched lows under $102 a barrel. After posting its biggest gain since July, the UK's FTSE 100 index pulled back on Wednesday, with investors largely ignoring a better-than-expected reading on the country's services sector for February.
