Overnight Update: US stocks ramped higher on Monday, with the S&P 500 scoring an intraday record, turning positive for the year and working to achieve a record closing high. Treasury inched mostly lower on Monday, but remained near-unchanged. USD rose against the euro and British pound Monday as investors continued to weigh the potential weather drag on recent economic data and if it could sway monetary policy. Gold futures hit their highest close in almost 4 months. Oil prices, inched higher. After a choppy session, the UK's FTSE 100 index ended higher for a seventh straight day on Monday. Europe's benchmark stock index closed at the highest level in six years on Monday. London: BHP down 0.51% Rio down 1.61%. New York: BHP up 0.49% Rio down 1.51%. Base metal prices traded lower across the complex.
