Poll of the week: Where does the ASX 200 go in 2026?
A chaotic year is almost at an end. But what does 2026 have in store for Aussie equities? Here's your early chance to make a prediction.

Forget Christmas, it's now the magical time of year when the big investment firms and institutions start releasing their outlooks for next year.
And with how much has changed so far in 2025, it's a big ask trying to predict how things will go in 2026. But part of the fun is trying to put a number on where you think the stock market will end up in the year ahead.
Recent performance has left the Aussie market lagging many other major stock markets, despite a strong recovery following Liberation Day in April.
With plenty of macro and cyclical tailwinds and headwinds swirling around, there are plenty of eventualities on the table for Australian stocks next year. For what it's worth, some of the early targets I've seen show the experts are pretty split on how well the ASX 200 will perform in 2026.
But here's your chance to make the mother of all predictions. Using the ASX 200's current value (~8,600 points) as a baseline, what will it be by 31 December 2026?
For the purposes of this poll, I've rounded the points to the nearest 10.
