Reporting season results and associated company meetings strongly reinforced OC Premium Small Companies Fund's key thematics. These include: 1) Leverage to continued strong fund-flow into quality financial services companies. E.g: Magellan Financial, Henderson Group, Treasury Group, SFG Australia and IOOF. During February, Magellan Financial gained 17.3%, Treasury Group 12.9%, and Henderson Group 10.7%, after reporting very strong interim results. 2) Exposure to stocks in the domestic housing space which continues to show strength: CSR, Fletcher Building and Dulux. 3) Exposure to high quality companies that continue to deliver profit growth in excess of market expectations and outside of the economic cycle: REA Group, Dominos Pizza and G8 Education. 4) Leverage to the buoyant New Zealand economy: Fletcher Building and Sky Television. 5) Leverage to the US economy, which continues to show signs of a sustainable recovery: Magellan Financial, Newscorp, Ardent Leisure and Sirtex Medical.
