Some big risks for Australia to consider

Often the best perspective is gained from an outside view, so to get an objective view of Australia’s markets and economy, we took the chance to ask Daniel Farley, CIO, Investment Solutions Group for multi-trillion dollar asset manager, State Street Global Advisors, when he visited our office recently.

Dan explains why he is modestly positive on Aussie equities, and shares his thoughts on our bond market and interest rates. He then discussed some risks stemming from our relationship with China given the trade war, saying that: ‘If we do start to get into countries having to pick sides, depending on how they pick, that also has a potential knock-on effect given that tight relationship”.
