Three rules of a trillion dollar manager

We recently had the fortune to sit down with Daniel Farley, CIO, Investment Solutions Group, for State Street Global Advisors, one of the largest asset managers globally. We started by getting back to basics and asked Daniel to distil his core investment philosophy for us.

He shared his three rules, saying: “One, you need to understand what the bottom-up drivers of markets are going to be; two, you really have to understand what kind of a market environment we're in; and three, you need to understand how to manage the risk”. In this short video he expands on these simple principles by articulating how they apply to the today’s complex market dynamics.
