Good Morning, Trust that you’ve had a nice weekend and are getting ready for an extremely busy week on financial markets… Focus this week will once again be on the AUS Reporting Season, which to date, has been nothing but “average”… Interesting, CBA comes back on the market today (when was the last time you remembered that an ASX top 5 stock was in a trading halt for 3 whole days?)… And there could be a trade here… CBA trades “ex” dividend tomorrow and given the record date for the rights issue is 20 August, you are able to buy CBA today, pick up the dividend AND be eligible to pick up 1 share (out of 23) at $71.50…. Could be a nice result. For those interested in the strategy, please let me know. What's on today? US net capital flow , housing market index for August Stocks in focus ASX earnings reports for today: Newcrest Mining, Aurizon, Charter Hall Retail, Flexigroup Macquarie Wealth Management has an "outperform" recommendation on News Corp and a price target at $23.65 a share.
