What does the future hold for the finance industry?
On Wednesday evening, I’ll be presenting at Future Day 2017 in Melbourne on The Future of Finance. I’ll be discussing some of the problems and opportunities in the finance industry today, some of the changes happening right now, then take a gaze into my crystal ball to discuss some of the changes we can expect to see in the future. Did you know that according to the Financial Times, only around 2-5% of research produced by brokers and investment bankers is ever read? Or that India is surging ahead of the world in the adoption of digital payments? With a quarter of a billion smartphone users, digital payments are expected to reach 20% of all consumption in 2017.
