Alibaba expected to announce IPO pricing soon ahead of NYSE debut tomorrow (Friday) New York time. We are expecting a US$68 price (the lucky 8s), the top end of the upwardly revised US$66-$68 range, barring any last minute surprises. This values Alibaba at about 25x 2015 earnings. The mean estimate is that BABA will earn US$6.8bn in net income in 2015. The closest comp, Tencent trades at around 29-30x 2015. Allocations will be out early Friday US time ahead of debut. IPO values Alibaba at US$167bn. A US$200bn valuation would push the price to around US$81 on our numbers. (VIEW LINK)
