Apple Watch Launch - the side stories are more interesting for now! Watching the Apple Watch launch this morning, if nothing else, reminded me of the power of Apple as a marketing machine. Apple have had an incredible ability to make consumers convert wants into needs. Or in other words make us believe we must have an app that tells us what song is playing, a larger screen, and a better camera to share pictures, and pay for it, almost every year.The chart below shows the share price response as CEO Tim Cook rolled through the features of the watch. Up around 1.8% until battery life was mentioned! It rolled over and was down ~-0.30%, rallying late to finish up +0.65%. The key takeaways for me - 1. Solving the battery life problem and 2.
