Carlos Gil, CIO of Microequities spoke to Alan Kohler on his radio program about his small-cap value fund and what they're investing in. Gil says We own Prophecy (ASX: PRO), a software business in Adelaide that only does about $8m in revenue but has tremendous cash flow generation. It has a very unique product called the Snare. The Snare is a log-management software which we are very bullish on. It's essentially a black-box, which allows the IT network operator to diagnose any event. Whether it's a security breach or a software systems failure, the software can go back and make a prognosis on exactly what has occurred, helping to alleviate or fix the problem. It's a software that every large enterprise needs and it's a fast growing market. Microequities has made a 30% compounded return over the past four years with FUM doubling each year.
