Core Exploration (CXO), being covered in this week's PortfolioDirect investment report, is integrating historical sampling data with geophysical methods to advance its Albarta silver-lead-copper prospect in the Northern Territory. There have been too few positive greenfield exploration outcomes in the current cycle for the effort being made. The emerging exploration evidence adds weight to the possibility that Core Exploration has found the surface expression of a Proterozoic age carbonate-hosted base metal system with a strong lead-silver association at its Blueys and Inkheart propects. The soil anomaly is large enough to support the possibility of a commercially attractive discovery.
