Currency Update: The Australian Dollar has opened higher this morning, trading through USD0.9500 overnight. The US government shutdown now entering its 14th day. Most investors believe that lawmakers will reach an 11th hour budget deal and not let the US default on its debt payments. This looked more likely late Monday when it was revealed that the parties were moving closer to reaching an agreement and that President Obama would meet with both of the party leaders. Today is the release of this month's RBA Board Minutes. The market would not be too surprised if today's minutes revealed a similar stance to that of last month's minutes in which they revealed that they had not closed the door to the possibility of reducing interest rates further. Today's Forecast Range: USD 0.9470 - 0.9510
