Downer EDI FY Result 5 Aug 15: Headwinds from the resource sector continue

Downer EDI posted a 2.7% fall in net profit to $210.2 million. While EBIT for its mining division fell by 20% to $1.59 billion, reflecting the continued decline in commodity prices, the early termination and completion of contracts and the reduced volumes on existing contracts.
