Economic Insights - March quarter inflation weaker than expected
Inflation rose by a softer than expected 0.5% in the March quarter, taking the annual increase to 2.1%. Underlying inflation, the Reserve Bank’s preferred measure, came in at 0.4% in the quarter and 1.7% over the year.
