Good Morning, And happy Friday the 13th. Given that I was born on Friday the 13th (yes... that would explain a few things), it certainly is a lucky day for some........ Yesterday the XJO fell by around 25 points, following the weakest unemployment figure in over 10 years... Our US counterparts are certainly giving Tony Abbott a fair wack... calling him the most incompetent leader of the G-20... ouch... Reporting season closes this week with eearnings from Newcrest, Sims Metal Management, Automotive Holdings to be in focus. Last night, global markets rallied as Cisco drove the NASDAQ to its highest level on record and a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine provided support for European equities... Let's see how long that lasts.... Commodities were generally stronger last night, with Crude Oil up $2.46 to $51.30/barrel, Gold up $3 to $1,222/oz. and iron ore flat at $62/tonne. The SPI is pointing to a 27 point rise on open. (VIEW LINK)
