Good Morning, Trust that you had a nice weekend. Yesterday evening I caught up with a good client of mine, who tried to convince me that Port Melbourne is near Laverton... For those who don't know Melbourne very well, that is the equivalent of driving to Brisbane from the Gold Coast... Not close........ At least we had a beer together and a good laugh! On Friday night in the US, markets fell as consumer confidence continues to fall...... this isn't a good sign.... After all, consumers make up 70% of GDP growth in the US, and we need consumers to be confident, in order for them to spend..... Let's keep a close eye on this figure in April....... On Australia, iron ore remains under pressure (now below $57/tonne), while Copper, Oil (near $46.00/barrel) and Gold are still facing headwinds, from weakening demand from China and USD strength. We remain underweight the resource sector. The following shares will trade ex-dividend today: Breville, CSL, DWS, GR Engineering, IOOF, Leighton Holdings, Lindsay Australia, Royal Wolf Holdings, Skilled Group, Supply Network, UXC, Village Roadshow. The SPI is pointing to a 11 point fall this morning.
