Today will be another jam-packed day with eearnings reports expected from Arrium, Bega Cheese, Dexus Property Group, Insurance Australia Group, MacMahon Holdings, Mount Gibson Iron, Recall Holdings, Seven West Media, Toll Holdings, Western Areas, Woodside Petroleum, Trade Me, Primary Health Care, Carsales.com. US stocks were flat in afternoon trade on Tuesday, paring modest early losses. The route for stocks this year has been uneven - the S&P 500 has rallied 5.1 per cent in February, heading for the best monthly performance since October 2011, after losing 3.1 per cent in January for its worst month in a year. Focus for global markets remains on Greece and there is growing speculation that a deal will be struck shortly Commodities were mixed last night with Crude Oil stronger, now trading at $53.54/barrel, Gold fell sharply trading at $1,207/oz. and Copper relatively unchanged at $2.58/lb. The SPI is pointing to a 18 point rise this morning.
