Good Morning, We're seeing an interesting trend develop....... In the US, the earnings season is drawing to a close, with more than 90 percent having already reported. Of those, 74 percent beat profit projections and 56 percent topped sales estimates. That's not bad, right? In AUS, we're seeing a lot of companies lift or maintain their payout ratio (i.e. higher dividends) and cut costs... Sure, the US currently is a much stronger economy fundamentally, however, with the low AUD and interest rates at record lows, the purchasing power of international fund managers has grown... exponentially... Last night, US stocks were slightly lower as a slump in Apple and Hewlett-Packard shares hurt the IT sector... Housing data was strong... Today we have another busy day, earnings expected from Qantas, Nine Entertainment, Goodman Fielder, Billabong, Ramsay Health Care, Transfield Services, Sydney Airport, Perpetual, Blackmores, Ausdrill. The following stocks will trade ex-dividend today: Bega Cheese, Colorpak, Lend Lease, Super Retail Group. The SPI is pointing to a 13 point gain
