Graphs from the RBA reinforce their confidence in lending standards and the conclusion that the housing market is not at a bubble stage yet. Looking at high loan-to-valuation lending, it shows that the proportion of loans above 90% LVR is trending down, whilst the 80-90% LVR loans are remaining flat. This shows that most borrowers currently have a large equity buffer, suggesting that they can likely afford the purchase of the homes. (VIEW LINK)
