Hopping on the trend that will change the world
You heard it here first - green is the new black. Every investor, young, old, male or female is beginning to understand that the next big investing theme is decarbonisation. With the clock ticking to meet net-zero carbon emission deadlines, companies are racing to put the E in ESG. But with most emission targets set for 2050, should investors be concerned about this trend now?
The answer is yes, says Chief Investment Officer at Credit Suisse Private Banking Andrew McAuley. According to McAuley, this is a material concern for investors as the green revolution will separate the winners from the losers.
"Investors are factoring in not just financial measures, but non-financial risks into their valuations of companies."
In this video, McAuley discusses the long runway for growth in the ESG space, he details how he is getting exposure to the theme and finally outlines the companies in our own backyard who are exploring green alternatives including BHP and Fortescue.
