LICs are market leaders in providing information, transparency and accessibility, but there's one area some can improve in. That is releasing their NTA values sooner. While ASX regulations for LICs require NTA values to be released by the 14th of each month, shareholders and investors need this information as soon as possible to enable better informed decision making. Contango MicroCap Limited understands this and strives to release its NTA on the 1st or 2nd business day each month. If you invest in an LIC that reliably releases its NTA at 3:58pm on the 14th of each month their last value is up to 6(!) weeks old. Put pressure on them to get their NTA out sooner - or at the very least provide an Interim Portfolio value at the beginning of each month. LICs do listen. CTNs May NTA + Top 20 here (VIEW LINK)
