Macri: We're buying solar stocks. The fall in the oil price has led to a fall in the share prices of solar stocks which has been unwarranted in our opinion. As such we are buying solar stocks globally. The reason we believe the fall in solar stocks is unwarranted is because solar does not compete with crude oil for electricity generation. Only 5 per cent of crude oil is used to produce electricity globally and much of this is occurring in the Middle East where crude oil is cheap and abundant.
