Major currencies rose against the greenback in European and US trade on Tuesday after traders digested comments from the Federal Reserve Chair. The Euro rose from lows near US$1.1295 to US$1.1350 and was trading near US$1.1340 in afternoon US close. The Aussie dollar rose from lows near US77.40c to US78.25c and was near US78.30c in afternoon US trade. And the Japanese yen strengthened from 119.81 yen per US dollar to JPY118.77 and was near JPY118.90 in afternoon US trade.
