Market Update: Yet another record close for the Dow and S&P 500 in the U.S

Market Update: Yet another record close for the Dow and S&P 500 in the U.S. last Friday night failed to lift the S&P/ASX 200 with it falling 0.3% at 5,386 points on profit taking. Financials were mixed with NAB being the only one among the major banks to be up 0.3%, the other three major banks were lower between 0.1% to 0.5%. Resources were marginally higher with BHP up 0.1% and RIO advancing 0.3%. The AUD is trading higher at US$0.9394. The SPI was down 0.2% at 5,399 points on the Sydney Futures Exchange.
