QUARTER-END, BUT WILL THE SELLING END? While the index is down for both the month (-6.43%) and the quarter (-2.44%), factors that help explain the underperformance seen in recent weeks, with quarter-end window dressing now largely complete and with Q4 arriving tomorrow, a period where the index has risen 77% of occasions during the last two decades, it will be interesting to see whether we'll see more selling pressure today or repositioning by fund managers in hope of near-traditional gains ahead.
