S&P 500 - Return Profile Post an End to US Government Shutdown The US government shutdown that began on Tuesday Oct. 1 looks like it will end in the coming hours. We note that since 1981 (when it was established that failure to pass a budget would result in a government shutdown) there have been 11 previous shutdowns. Interestingly, 10-days post an end to the government shutdown the S&P 500 managed an average gain of just over 2.5% with a 10 from 11 win rate. Full data analysis can be viewed at (VIEW LINK)
