Sydney Airport March traffic figures continue to post a robust picture for year on year traffic, particularly for the international operation. CEO Kerrie Mather said, First quarter and rolling 12 month international traffic through Sydney Airport has been very strong, up 4.9% and 4.4% respectively, driven by both capacity and load factor increases. It is also worth noting that the figures are also slightly distorted with Easter falling in April rather than March this year. The international figures again paint a very strong picture - a trend that has been consistent through the start of 2014. International traffic continues to be partially driven by strong Chinese passenger growth, increasing 7.8% over the first quarter and 14.9% over the past 12 months. Malaysian passengers have alsobeen a key driver, increasing 23% in March underpinned by the additional daily frequencies from AirAsia X and Malaysia Airlines. Full release here: (VIEW LINK)
