The product lifecycle that was mentioned in the article is typical any service or product industry and what they do is to price their offering accordingly. Telstra has been leading the technology innovation, in Australia at least for the last few years, and me having opportunity to get a view to their pricing and capex, Telstra did well to go through the lifecycle. I would have invested in Telstra if they re-organised their hierarchy to align as a technology company.
