Third time lucky for the USD Index? (VIEW LINK) Dollar index rises to 84.349 overnight, the highest level seen since July 10, 2013. Having closed above the 23.6% Fibonacci level of the 2001-2008 H/L in August, the index is now closing in on key resistance running from the high struck back in December 2005. While it has been rejected at this level two times before, with the US economy far stronger than both the Eurozone and Japan, the largest components in the index, it may well be a case of third time lucky should the US data, hence rate expectations, continue to improve.
