What does a wealthy retirement look like to you?

We spend decades working, saving and investing for retirement. But what are we actually working towards?

For some, wealth in retirement means travelling the world while they’re still young and healthy. For others, it’s owning the family home outright, never having to worry about money again, helping the kids, or simply having complete control over their time.

And while there’s plenty of research telling Australians what retirement should look like, we want to know what you think.

That’s why we’re launching the Livewire Retirement Series Survey 2026.

It takes around 5 minutes, and we want to hear from investors at every stage - whether retirement is decades away, rapidly approaching or already here. Plus, you'll have the chance to win some great prizes!

Coming in October: Livewire's Retirement Series 2026

Your responses will help shape content exploring how Australians can build a wealthier retirement.

We’ll be joined by investment and retirement experts including Koda Capital's Sebastian Ferrando, Infocus's Rebecca Hurford, WAM's Damien Boey and Shaw & Partners' Adam Dawes, alongside some of Australia’s leading ETF and LIC managers.

Across the series, we’ll explore topics including:

We'll also launch a new content stream that puts real-life retirement scenarios in front of financial advisers, who'll unpack the options and provide general guidance on what they could do next.
