What moves did the big names make last quarter?
US regulatory filings are in for the second quarter, and as always, they've created a stir. Each quarter the '13-F report' shows what fund managers with over $100 million in assets have been up to. Berkshire Hathaway, which is run by Warren Buffett, increased its stake in Apple by 55% and now owns around $1.65b worth of the stock. Meanwhile, a number of high-profile hedge fund managers, including Jeffrey Gundlach, Carl Icahn, and David Tepper, have cut their exposure to equities. George Soros Funds Management nearly doubled its holdings of S&P 500 put options, which profit if the market falls. (VIEW LINK) (VIEW LINK) (Source: Reuters)
