Who says you can't trust a former KGB colonel Equity markets the world over celebrated the soothing words of Uncle Vladimir, who assured the globe he saw no need for an escalation of military tensions.......yet, despite co-incidentally undertaking a missile test and having one of his advisers threaten an abandonment of the USD. Whilst i think we should all be happy things look to have calmed down even temporarily, the tensions in the Ukraine are unlikely to fully dissipate soon. In economic news Eurozone producer prices fell 0.3% in a month, again putting pressure on the ECB, whilst in the US, Goldmans have reported that the US macro surprise index is off to its worse start since 2008 more details here (VIEW LINK)
