Peak Asset Management

Good Afternoon, What a week it has been….. The ASX has now recouped all its losses from Monday's rout… Today, we closed up 60 points, 1.17%... Chinese shares opened stronger in early trade, which provided some relief to investors, although at the time of writing the main Shanghai index was suffering a late sell-off that has pushed it into the red… The big banks continue to rebound after the punishing falls of recent weeks and months. ANZ added 1.8 per cent and Westpac 1.2 per cent, while NAB was up 0.5 per cent and CBA 0.4 per cent. Reporting season was a really hit and miss affair, as it has been all month….Boral plunged 8 per cent on its results, while FLT soared 12 per cent… CHARTS OF THE DAY – How the Fed has changed interest rates depending % change in the US stock market *** we believe that the US Fed will not raise rates, but instead, announce another round of QE…….. This will surely surprise the market… and send commodities sky-rocketing
