Kidman Resources has re-assayed five RC holes at its Mount Holland prospect south of Southern Cross focussing on lithium-bearing pegmatite occurrences near historical gold workings. Assay results have defined a potentially thick (up to 50 metres) lithium-endowed pegmatite. Follow-up holes to confirm the thickness and the lithium grade are planned. The broader prospect hosts over five mineralised pegmatite bodies. Legend Mining reported barren sulphides with very minor nickel and copper sulphides from two diamond holes 150 kilometres northeast of the Nova-Bollinger development. One hole contained a thick sequence of iron sulphide and graphitic metasediments with very thin intervals of economic minerals from a depth of 526 metres. Minerals were identified at 626 metres in the other. Neither outcome indicates the proximity of a mineralised body. Thundelarra is testing a series of deep gravity anomalies at Red Bore adjacent to Sandfire’s Degrussa mine. A series of vertically oriented copper mineralised bodies had been identified without the deeper potential being tested. Initially, 2,400 metres of RC drilling will be directed at three targets followed by a deeper diamond drilling program.
